  333.             files, a few small changes were necessary. ALLFIX will now

  335.             and two less for simply reading from the file database.

  342.             entries before a line containing a '*' character on the 
  343.             first column. The reason is that certain mailers use that 
  344.             symbol, and new entries must be placed before the line

  346.             however, presents a problem when the alias file contains a 
  347.             string such as "*.*".

  613. Description    ALLFIX/2 should use a named semaphore file for detecting if
  614.                ALLFIX or ASETUP is already busy. Using a file based
  615.                semaphore causes problems if the system crashes while
  616.                ALLFIX is running. The file is not always cleaned up. The
  617.                result is that ALLFIX will not start up again, because it
  618.                believes that it or ASETUP is active in another process.
  619.                Using named semaphores solves this problem, since they are
  620.                automatically removed when the process finishes. ASETUP,
  621.                HATCH, and ALLFIX now use these names semaphores.
